Best Western Plus Hotel D'Angleterre - Centre Historique - Bourges

Seriously, the air conditioning was a joke, didn't cool the room and the windows let in 2am revellers. I almost gave a good review but then there were no USB ports next to the bed, can you believe it? Plus, why no complimentary gesture for my troubles, can't a guest expect better treatment?

Appreciated my VERY NICE stay during our visit. The classic double room I stayed in was new-fashioned with a good bathroom.

Parking was tricky, but the room was spacious and comfortable.

Fine building in great central location of historic town, tastefully renovated and comfortable furnished, wonderful bed, spacious bedroom, very good bathroom, excellnet breakfast, very helpful staff. One of the best hotels we have stayed in in France.

Navigating the hotel is a complete nightmare!!! The air conditioning didn't function how it should. Plus, street noise makes it hard to sleep at night, and it would help to have clearer directions for arriving guests!!!

The location is perfect, just a short walk to all the main attractions. We were also kinda surprised by the big breakfast spread, didn't expect that at all.

It wasn't inexpensive but still acceptable.

Splendid greeting and helpful staff

This is our second visit to the Hotel d'Angleterre. We very much enjoy the ambiance of the hotel's setting and architecture which is underpinned by excellent hotel staff. We were able to book the same room as our previous visit, which has a double aspect allowing a view of the cobbled streets, the fountain and other old buildings including the Palace of Jacques Couers which is lit at night as part of the Nuit Luminere (not to be missed). Secure parking is available at E10 per day and is well worth considering.
